Short version: we don’t collect your personal data. TurtlePuns is a set of plain, static web pages. There are no accounts, no sign-up forms, no newsletter, and no comment section — so there is nothing for us to store about you.
Nothing that identifies you. We do not ask for your name, email, or any other personal detail anywhere on this site. We do not set cookies, and the pages run no analytics or tracking scripts.
The one exception is standard server activity. Like every website, our hosting provider automatically records basic request data — IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time. This is normal web-server logging used for security and troubleshooting. We do not use it to build a profile of you, and we do not sell or share it.
We set no cookies of our own. If your browser stores anything from this site, it is ordinary caching so pages load faster on your next visit. You can clear that at any time in your browser settings, and the site will keep working normally.
Tapping Copy uses your browser’s built-in clipboard. That action happens entirely on your device. Nothing is sent to us, logged, or recorded — we have no way of knowing which puns you copied.
We link to outside sources such as conservation organisations and dictionaries. Once you follow one of those links, you are on their website and their privacy policy applies, not ours. We have no control over how they handle your data, so it is worth reading their policy if you are concerned.
As of writing, this site runs no advertising and contains no affiliate links. If that changes, we will update this page first and clearly state which advertising partners are involved and what cookies they use. Third-party ad networks typically set their own cookies to serve relevant ads, and you would be able to manage those through your browser or through Google’s Ad Settings.
Most of this site is family-friendly and safe for classrooms. Because we collect no personal information from anyone, we do not knowingly collect data from children either. Sections containing grown-up humor are clearly labelled so parents and teachers can skip them.
Privacy laws such as the GDPR and CCPA give you the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data a site holds about you. Since we hold none, there is nothing to request — but if you believe otherwise, email us and we will look into it and respond honestly.
If we ever add a feature that touches your data — a contact form, a newsletter, ads, or analytics — we will update this page and change the date at the top before that feature goes live. We will not quietly start collecting data and tell you afterwards.
